Richard “DC” Jess Carle, age 73, of Bentley, died with family by his side on Sunday, November 24, 2019, at Brian's House of Essexville.
The son of Wallace and Mary Carle, Richard was born on August 21, 1946, in Saginaw.
DC enjoyed playing football and was a member of a touch football league. The league had a several year winning streak, eventually landing DC and his team in the Saginaw County Sports Hall of Fame. DC was a railroad engineer for the majority of his life. He loved gardening and strove, always, to have a perfect yard. DC also enjoyed time spent outdoors and especially with his family.
DC is survived by his children, Cherie (Pat) Salabak, Cheyenne Carle, and Robin (Brian) Ballard; grandchildren, Brittney (Casey) Leath, Ricki Salabak, Sydney Ryther, Cody Ballard, and Marissa Ballard; great grandchildren, Cierra, Charleigh, and Jase Leath, and Mila Ballard; siblings, Roxanne Carle, Joanne (Byron) Burditt, Lynn (Mike) Doyle, Craig (Jamie) Carle, and Tom (Carol) Carle; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his granddaughter, Frances Carle.

Dick was the nicest man, I remember camping in his yard when all of our kids were young. He was always smiling, and loved it when all the kids came to visit! He will be dearly missed...
