Obituary
Sandra “Sandy” Lee Taylor, age 77, of Standish, passed away while surrounded by family on Monday, January 6, 2020.
The daughter of John and Mary Elms, Sandy was born May 25, 1942, in Saginaw, Michigan.
Sandy loved to garden and spent time tending to her church's gardens and altar flowers. She enjoyed reading, especially her prayer books, and praying the Rosary. She was always up for road trips, a day trip up north, a game of rummy, and watching sports, especially Michigan State Basketball and their great coach, Tom Izzo. Sandy was a woman of strong faith and loved the Catholic Church. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren, family, and friends.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Joseph A. Taylor; children, Gary Taylor and Shari Taylor; grandchildren, Christian (Brianna) Biliti, Zachary Taylor, Karami Holt, Anise (Corey) Wilson, Shannon Taylor, Brian Nass, and Emily Nass, Joshua Taylor, and Ashley Brown; great-grandchildren, Madilynn and Layna Taylor, Jolon Brown, and Jeremiah Russell; sister, Kathy Tyler; daughter in law, Tracy Taylor; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Joseph Taylor; two sisters, Judy Brenske and Mary-Jane Danhoff.
Sandy's family wishes to thank Susan Taylor-De Lavern, her adopted daughter, and Compassus Hospice Nurses, Tammy and Heather, for their kindness and care.
Visitation will take place Saturday, January 11, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Helen Catholic Church Site, 2445 N. Charles Street, Saginaw, MI 48602. Rev. Fr. James Fitzpatrick will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, Saginaw.

My grandmother was an amazing woman, I remember the last time I saw her was at my godfathers graduation , she couldn't stop saying how proud she was of him. And then we got lost . She always brightened up a room .
