Obituary
Charles “Chuck” Isaiah Priem, Sr., age 88, of Saginaw, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Saginaw Senior Care.
The son of Charles and Irma Priem, Charles was born January 2, 1932, in Saginaw, MI. He married Elizabeth “Betty” Schroyer on March 17, 1956, and together they shared 63 years of marriage.
Charles enlisted in the Navy, serving from 1951-1955. He was a proud veteran. He retired from Consumers Energy after 30 years of service. Charles was a skilled woodworker and craftsman and he enjoyed tinkering around fixing various items in his basement workspace. He was a lifelong member of West Michigan United Methodist Church.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Priem; his children, Chuck (Joyce) Priem and Nancy (Greg) Greif; grandchildren, Kelley (Jim) Goodrow, Aimee Priem, Emma Priem, Lisa Greif, and Jennifer (Adam) Gembrowski; great-granddaughter, Elyse Goodrow; sisters, Susan Duncan and Patricia (Joseph) Bronz; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Helen Schroyer.
Visitation will take place Friday, February 21, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, MI 48602. Interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw.
