Obituary
Jack Otto Stelter, age 80, of Saginaw, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020. The son of Ralph Otto and Victoria Stelter, Jack was born November 15, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan. He married Sephronia Ecker on October 3, 1964. She preceded him in death just 5 days ago.
Jack worked with Travel Homes for 10 years. He then founded his own demolition business, Saginaw Wrecking, with his son, Edward. They enjoyed working together as team and were contracted for several jobs with local companies such as Dore Demolition, Bierlein, Urban Demolition, LaLone's, and more. Jack loved to fish with his wife, Sephronia, on their son's boat. He cherished time spent with his family, especially up north and at gatherings and reunions on the Stelter and Ecker sides. While they loved time up north, Jack and Sephronia took a very special trip together to visit his sisters in Florida. They enjoyed every moment they had with each other.
Jack is survived by his loving children, Jacklynn (Vince) Cummings and Edward (Nancy) Stelter; grandchildren, Jessica Cummings, Michael Cummings (fiancée, Lindsey Croutch), and Cameron Stelter (fiancée, Chelsea McCully); great-grandson, Dominic Seekings and great-granddaughter, Rayelynn McCully; sisters, Eva (Jason) Hemmingway, Ruthanne (Melvin) Campeau, and Carol (Carl) Barber; brother, Ralph Stelter; mother-in-law, Edelene Ecker; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys (Keith) Faust, Raphia Ecker, Joseph Ecker, Ila (Bill) O'Brien, Verna (Jim) Klish, Myrtle Yanna, Debra Strickland, Sandra Moorhouse, and Timothy (Linda) Ecker; several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sephronia Stelter; parents, Victoria and Ralph Stelter; sister, Doree Payea; Uncle Lyle Stelter; father-in-law, Levi Ecker; brothers-in-law, Levi Ecker, George Yanna, Craig Strickland, and Tony Krozleski; sister-in-law, Barbara Ecker.
