Obituary
Thomas “Tommy” Edward Steding, age 19, of Saginaw, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020. The son of Sara Steding, Tommy was born on March 20, 2001 in Flint, Michigan.
Tommy was an incredibly kind and intelligent human — unique, thoughtful, and funny. He was an avid scholar who specialized in collecting knowledge of history, medieval weaponry, and folklore. Tommy had a love for nature, traveling to visit his older brother, sword sparring, and creating art. Tommy also enjoyed playing video games, particularly Tekken, Mortal Kombat, and Guilty Gear. Tommy also had great fun spending time with his cousin Matthew, as they too were very close.
Tommy is survived by his mother, Sara Steding; his brother, Andrew Steding (fiancé, Ryan Hall); his grandmother whom he lovingly called “Mum”, Patricia Murray-Steding; aunts and uncle, Trish (Steve Labadie) Steding and Ann Steding; cousins, Samuel, Molly, Alec, Alyse, and Matthew; his best friend, Freddy Bolger. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, “Papa” Dallan Steding.
Memorial Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2020, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. In accordance with current state mandated restrictions, social distancing and limitations on number gathered within the building will be observed. Attendees are also kindly asked to wear a mask or other facial covering while inside the funeral home.

It saddens my heart to hear this. I remember snuggling up on the couch watching Tom and Jerry when Tommy was a little babe. I'll always remember the sweet smile and giggle of that little blonde haired babe.
