Mya Elizabeth Shaw, age 21, of Shelby Township, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 1, 2020. The daughter of Jason and Susan (Armstrong) Shaw, Mya was born on April 6, 1999, in Saginaw, Michigan.
Mya is survived by her loving parents, Jason and Susan Shaw; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private memorial service for Mya will take place at 7:00p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Fischer Family Funeral Home. Extended family and friends will be able to join the service via Zoom. Zoom information and link are listed below.

Mya was a wonderful spirit. I enjoyed meeting her and having her work for for me at Arby's. She was always shy when I came to visit the restaurant. After a few months, I finally got Mya to start talking to me. She was sweet, reliable, and was always there when we needed her. She will be missed. Sending my prayers and love to Mya's family,

I remember the shear excitement in your face the day MCR announced a reunion tour. We blasted their music all day long for weeks while working and shared so many laughs. You loved music, shared ridiculous stories, and always wanted the best for everyone. I’m so grateful to have known you for even just a small amount of time and will never forget the impact you made on the people around you.
My thoughts are with the family during this difficult time. Mya was taken too soon but will never be forgotten.
