Obituary
Dorothy Loraine Dittmar, age 90, of Carrollton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 3, 2020. The daughter of Arthur and Ethel Schroeder, Dorothy was born on August 31, 1930, in Zilwaukee, Michigan.
Dorothy enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, and playing games with family and friends, especially bingo. She was a faithful, lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Zilwaukee.
Dorothy is survived by her loving daughters, Sherry (Bill) McCommon and Jill (Jeff) Davenport; beloved grandchildren, Scott (Melissa) McCommon, Justin (Shauna) McCommon, Spencer (Alexis) Davenport, Marshall (Sara) Davenport, and Parker (Meghan Norfleet) Davenport; cherished great grandchildren, Brendan McCommon, Connor McCommon, Kyle McCommon, Jacob McCommon, Sierrah McCommon, Margot Davenport, Miles Davenport, Reese Davenport, Halle Davenport, and Beau Davenport; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Schroeder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Dittmar in 1981; their son, John Dittmar; their daughter, Kathy Dittmar; brothers, Arthur Schroeder and Leonard Schroeder.
There will be a committal service for Dorothy held at 3:00p.m., on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 950 N. Center Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48623. Pastor Scott Muske will officiate.
Memorials in honor of Dorothy may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 318 S. Franklin Street, Saginaw, MI 48604.
