Ann Moore

Ann Marie Moore, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 80 on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at her home in Hemlock while surrounded by family. The daughter of Clarence and Hilda Zastrow, Ann was born on January 29, 1940, in Saginaw. She married Arthur Moore on July 11, 1959. Together they shared 30 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1989.

Ann worked as a secretary for Dow Chemical. After her son, Kevin, was born, Ann stayed at home, but eventually went on to work with her sister in custom drapery. Ann had many hobbies in life, but she especially enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. She loved her grandchildren and cherished time spent with them.

Ann is survived by her son, Kevin (Kristine) Moore; granddaughter, Amber (Dariun) Abdo; great granddaughter, Naomi Abdo; and her siblings, Lloyd (Joyce) Zastrow, Charlene (the late Karl) Hock, and Ken (Cheryl) Zastrow. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Moore; her grandson, Brendan Moore; and her granddaughter, Karlie Moore.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Road, Hemlock, MI 48626. Rev. Paul Hauser will officiate. In accordance with current state mandated restrictions, safe distancing and limitations on number gathered within the building will be observed. Attendees are also kindly asked to wear a mask or other facial covering while indoors, per state requirements. Burial will take place at Richland Lutheran Cemetery, Hemlock.
