Obituary
Mary Jo Ries, age 65, of Hemlock, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. The daughter of Warren and Velma (nee Hershberter) Bohnet, Mary Jo was born on November 22, 1955, in Topeka Kansas.
Mary Jo is survived by her son, Greg Ries, grandsons, Garrett and Graden Ries of Davison; brother Stretch (Cheryl) Bohnet of Billings, Montana, nephews Tarn and Tarl Bohnet; sister, Chris (Ron) Robinette and nieces Mandy and Jenny; Aunt Irma (nee Hershberger and Uncle Don Parks of Davison; countless cousins; former husband and life partner Steven McKellar of Hemlock.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Some of Mary Jo's favorite times were spent watching the sunset over Paradise Lake, camping at Wheatland Music Festival, searching for Pudding Stones (or almost any rock!) She loved hunting for treasures at yard sales and adding to her collection of native American art and artifacts. Her adventurous spirit will be missed by all of her friends and family scattered across the United States.
At this time no services are planned for Mary Jo. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place.
Memorials in her honor may be made to the Humane Society of the United States.

We were blessed with Mary Jo's love for many years. She was my closest cousin, and we talked often, enjoyed her visits in New York. Steve and Mary Jo always made us feel at home in their home as well. Steve, Greg, Stretch and Chris, we love you and hope countless memories sustain you in the days ahead.
