Obituary
Lois Emma-Lee Smith, age 83, of Bridgeport, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 3, 2021. The daughter of Russell and Amiella Johnson, Lois was born September 13, 1937, in Saginaw, Michigan.
Lois loved a good game of cards, especially Euchre, trips to the casino, and camping. She treasured a 53 year friendship with a dear group of women from Bridgeport who played cards together. Lois's greatest love in life was her family. She will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Lois is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Christopher Smith; loving children, Christine (Les) Pries, Karen (Nino) Beach, Lynnette (Todd) Bugenske, and Scott (Gretchen) Smith; dear grandchildren, Jason (Tina) Pries, Trisha (Joel) Bryan, Traci (Jay) Loy, Stacee Miller, Kari (Don) Root, Robin (Mellissa Smith) Miller, Justin (Danielle) Bugenske, Briann (PJ) Foster, and Abbey Smith; great grandchildren, Tylor Pries, Corbin Pries, Taylor Bryan, Ariana Bryan, Kyli Loy, Bayli Loy, Marina Root, Dylan Root, Wyatt Root, Violet Root, Nolan Bugenske, Aiden Bugenske, Cameron Foster, and Baby Ainsley Lois Foster due in August; sister, Lucille (Bill) Enszer; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joannie Johnson, Gail (Jim) Finn, Linda (Fred) Schmunk, Ralph Dimmick, and Donna Lanning, who was also one of Lois's best friends. Lois was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Johnson and her parents.
Visitation will take place Monday, April 5, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. A private family service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Cook Cemetery, Burt, Michigan. In accordance with current state mandated restrictions, safe distancing and limitations of 25 people gathered within the funeral home will be observed. Attendees are also kindly asked to wear a mask or other facial covering while inside the funeral home, per state requirements.

I had a blast with Lois when we went on vacations, with Aunt Gert, Lois's mom Millie, my mom. We rented a Van. Lois and I would take turns driving. We went down to Tenn. went to Dollywood, and seen all the sights. Even Lois and I rode an Elephant together. She was always willing to do anything. Never laughed so much with all those ladies. Always had our step ladder with us so we could get all the luggage down from the van. Drove many miles laughing all the way. They were some crazy women when we all got together. I'll never forgot how kind and thoughtful you were Lois. Had some good times. When you get up to heaven tell those crazy ladies I said high. You all behave yourself you hear. Love Jackie Glynn.
