Obituary
Sally Ann Andrews, age 90, of Saginaw, passed away at home with her family by her side on Saturday, March 27, 2021, following a lengthy battle with dementia. The daughter of Peter and Marie (Frans) Johnson, Sally was born July 16, 1930, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She married Chester Andrews in 1951. In 1966, Sally and Chet moved the family to Saginaw where they became lifelong residents. Sally eventually was employed by the Saginaw Township Community Schools in food service and retired from that post a number of years ago.
Sally was extremely talented at sewing and loved needlepoint. She loved her family more than anything and was always there for her children's and grandchildren's events. She was heavily involved with the Saginaires Drum and Bugle Corps, along with Chet, as they enjoyed watching her children's involvement in that activity. After Sally and Chet retired, they spent several years traveling the United States and parts of Canada.
Sally is survived by her beloved husband, Chester Andrews; loving children, Blake (Sheri) Andrews, Cindy Andrews (Geri Callovi), and Chris Andrews (AnnMarie Doman-Monville); adored grandchildren, Chad (April) Andrews, Curtis Andrews, Kari (Jeff) Frederickson, and Cody Andrews; great grandchildren, Claire Andrews, Grace Andrews, Charlie Andrews, Hunter Frederickson, Holden Frederickson, several nieces and nephews.
Sally's only sibling, a sister, Mary Lou Peck predeceased her.
Cremation will take place and there are no services planned at this time.
Memorials in honor of Sally may be made to First State Home Health Care Hospice.
The family would like to thank the staff from First State Home Health Care and also Homewatch Caregivers . The women from these agencies were extremely helpful to Sally and the family.
Interment will take place at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, Saginaw.

I have such happy, fond memories of Dear Sally. She was fun to work with and also very dedicated to her food service position. Sally always had her heart in her job. I thoroughly enjoyed working with and knowing Sally. Please know that I care and am very sorry for your loss.
