Obituary
Mary Ellen Detkowski, age 68, of Saginaw passed away August 25, 2025, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was born on May 3, 1957, to William and Evelyn Johnston, in Utica, Michigan.
Mary is survived by her siblings, Evelyn Godin and Barbara (Ed) Geisler; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and several extended family members. She is also survived by a host of neighbors and friends who became like her family in recent years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne Dandron; children, William, Kimberly and Michael; her brothers, Donald Johnston and Bill Johnston; and their parents.
Visitation will take place from 10:00a.m., until the time of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m., Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption, 615 Hoyt Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. Rev. Fr. Adam Maher will officiate.
Mary will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Saginaw, Michigan.
