Robert “Bob” Alvin Turner, age 82, of Hemlock passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021, in Saginaw.
The son of Alvin and Grace Turner, Bob was born in Hemlock, Michigan on March 14, 1939.
Bob married Mary Jane House on August 19, 1961, in Alma and shared over 40 wonderful years of marriage. Together they owned and operated Turner Flower Shop in Hemlock for 35 years. In recent years, Bob worked for a local crematory and burial vault company, helping families during their time of loss. Bob loved to spend time with family baking pies and cookies, gardening, and picking blueberries.
Bob is survived by his loving children, John (Cindy) Turner and Julie (Dennis) Barthel; grandchildren, Christina (Scott) Moore, Jamie (Brandon) Girard, Michelle (John Jr.) Scholtes, Ashley Turner, Rebekah (Jordan) Bragiel, and Caroline Barthel; great grandchildren, Kyle Moore, Chloe Moore, Kaden Girard, Addison Girard, and John Scholtes; brother, Gary (Judy) Turner; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, James “Jim” Turner; his wife, Mary Jane Turner; and his brother, Arthur Turner.
Visitation will take place on Friday, May 28, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602.
Burial will take place at LaPorte Township Cemetery, Hemlock, MI following the service.
Memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
