Mr. and Mrs. Osborn, I am so sorry to hear of your moms passing. I remember going to Ann Arbor and staying the night at her house with Shontae. Shontae, Caden and Amare, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your grandma. She will always hold a special place in your heart. Your grandma will always be looking over you. Love all of you! I was so pleased to meet Luci at the Ann Arbor Senior Center in 1987 and to get a chance to observe her French class. She was so kind and such a wonderful teacher. I enjoyed conversing with her in French and visiting her in her Ann Arbor home. Paul and Jim, I'm really sorry for this loss and pray that the good Lord would comfort you during this challenging time.

I was a student at Slauson in the 70's, and Mrs. Osborn was my Spanish teacher. I don't have a particular story to tell, but I remember her well. She was always very enthusiastic, and kind. I was not a great lover of school, but I always enjoyed coming to her class. It always seemed funny to us to be learning Spanish from a lady with a heavy French accent! I remember her telling us she was from Belgium, and that once you learn French, Spanish is easy to learn, because the languages are quite similar. I remember having to cover our textbooks, and getting our Spanish names on the first day. She must have really loved what she was doing, because she did it well. Teaching students of that age can't be easy! Sometimes, when she was teaching, she would get so excited, that her accent would get heavier, and we'd have to ask her to slow down. She would laugh, and go back over things more slowly, until we caught on! I am so sorry for your loss, but I know that wherever she has gone for her next chapter, Mrs. Osborn will be a breath of fresh air, as she always was here!
