Obituary
Anna R. Turner passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 11, 2021, at Winter Village Frankenmuth, MI where she was adored by all. She was 97 years old.
Ann Rosalyn was born January 11, 1924, in Birch Run, MI to Jacob and Anna Traub. She moved to Bridgeport after marrying her beloved, Junior Turner, on May 26, 1962. He predeceased her in January 2011.
She was a lifelong member of Assumption BVM (SS. Francis and Clare) Catholic church. She attended Toddish school in Taymouth Township and was most proud of her Saginaw County spelling bee championship in 1934 at the age of ten. Ann was employed for several years by Lufkin Rule. She retired to raise her family. She volunteered as a room mother in her daughters' classrooms. Ann was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 439.
Ann enjoyed baking (and, boy, could she bake). Her Christmas cookies and famous pie crust were family favorites. She was blessed to have traveled throughout the United States with Junior, her children and other family members. She mostly loved spending time with her family. Ann never passed up an opportunity to babysit her dear grand babies. She was a gentle and loving soul.
Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Jerry (Linda) Turner, Denelda (Nick) Todorow, Diane (Terry) Shark, and Denise (John) Berenyi; grandchildren, Deann, Steve, Lindsay, RJ, Jared, and Anna; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Ian, Haley, Christopher, Natalie, Brayden, and Tucker; sister-in-law, Margaret Turner; special niece, Shirley Shrock; other nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Winter Village for the loving care they provided throughout the ten plus years Ann resided there.
Visitation will take place Friday, October 15, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Mr. Peter Kleinebreil will officiate. Burial will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw.

I was blessed to meet Anna at Independence Village when visiting my mother. I always looked forward to seeing Anna and her beautiful smile. We had several nice visits. She talked about her love for her husband and the wonderful trips they enjoyed. I always thought of how lucky her family was to be blessed with her. Rest in Heaven Anna.

Words can't express how sorry that I am on the death of your mom, my dear Aunt Ann. She loved all of you so much and always talked about all the times you took her places and spent time with her. You were truly blessed to have such a wonderful mother. She meant so much to me also and has been a constant in my life since I was a young child.
We have shared so many experiences together through our lifetime. Aunt Ann loved everyone dearly and had so many friends. My condolences to the family. She will be missed by so many.
