Obituary
Geraldine Marie (Klingbeil) Ford passed into eternal rest peacefully on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Covenant HealthCare, Saginaw, from Covid. She was 75. Geraldine was born on October 23, 1946, to Edward C. and Mary E. (Foster) Klingbeil in Mercy Hospital, Cadillac.
Geraldine graduated from Cadillac Senior High School and went on to work for the U.S. Dept. of the Navy handling negotiations of confidential contracts in Washington, DC. She met and married the love of her life, Louis Ford, in DC where he was active in the military. They gave birth to two beautiful daughters, Stacey Marie and Monica Leigh and later made their home in Beaverton, MI.
Geraldine was an amazing soul who fought inner battles bravely. She had a home baking business and excelled in all sorts of baked goods. Her business exceeded her expectations. She taught us much in her bravery of facing situations, her stamina and her perseverance. She was so loved and will be greatly missed.
Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Monica (Mark) Wilinski; her granddaughter, Kaitlyn (John) Black; brother, Michael E. Klingbeil; sisters, Elsie Moore and Shirley Anderson; and an abundance of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Stacey Marie McDaniel; her former husband; her parents; brother, Ronald Klingbeil; brother in law, Dennis E. Moore; sister, Karen Judge and brother in law, Joseph Judge; sisters, Evelyn DeView and Jennie Klingbeil; nephew, Daniel Wayne Moore; great nephew, Austin Bandy; great nieces, Lucy and Lilly Irvin; very special aunt Margaret Klingbeil.
A Memorial Service is planned for Spring. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Cadillac Salvation Army, 725 Wright St., Cadillac, MI 49601 or charity of one's choice. The family thanks you in advance.
