December 18, 1931 - November 09, 2021
Obituary
Rosemary Joyce Moon, age 89, of Saginaw, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, with family by her side. The daughter of Wilfrid and Louisa Cyr, Rosemary was born on December 18, 1931, in Bay City, Michigan. She married Ronald Moon on January 19, 1952.
Rose had many hobbies and loves in life, but she especially enjoyed camping, travel, singing, and square dancing. Her pot roasts and cinnamon rolls were legendary among her friends and family, and the delicious smells of her cooking and baking came to be hallmarks of every holiday season.
Rose had a strong, independent character and was considered a role model by her children and grandchildren. She was known for her welcoming smiles and amazing hugs. Her love spread like a flame, undimmed though divided among dozens of those she called family, whether by birth, marriage, or association. She had a tender heart with a particular affinity for animals.
Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Ronald Moon; beloved children, Martin (Donna) Moon, Jerry (Carol) Moon, Steve (Jenni) Moon, Terry (Peggy Wilken) Moon, Peter (Sandy) Moon, Tom (Susan) Moon, Mary Beth (Gary) Kaminski, and Andy (Lori) Moon; and 91 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, for a total of 100 descendants. She is also survived by cherished nieces, nephews and many cousins, and lastly by her small dog Ginger, whom everybody loves.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanine Moon; granddaughter, Julia Rose Moon, sister, Sally Orgren; and her parents.
Memorial Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Many years have passed since communications ceased between us, but many years also marked a sincere friendship which began as close neighbors. She was a godmother to one of my daughters. Condolences to the entire family and prayers for easing at her passing.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Living next door to the family on Webster Street I spent many hours with Rose in her kitchen baking and many more hours hanging with the boys. I will always have a special place in my heart for “Mrs. Moon”. Love to all of you.

My heart aches for your family. Rosie was so special to me and my family. we raised
our famlies, had cookouts, shared sorrows, and loved one another like family. Neighbors and very close friends for many years, she and I had many long talks about just about everything in our lives. Even when we moved away from one another she sent her cinnamon rolls and I sent back Christmas cookies. I will alway treasure her. She was and is a sister of my heart. Love youdear friend as you rest from your labors in the ams of Our Lord and Savior. Ruth Berkobien
