Obituary
Duane “Bud” Edward Meier, age 90, of Carrollton, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
He was born on September 18, 1931, to Edward and Violet Meier in Saginaw, Michigan
Bud married Carol Ann Weiland on August 23, 1952, and they celebrated nearly 61 years of marriage until her death on July 1, 2013. Bud served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for General Motors as a Lab Technician. He and Carol were members of St. Josaphat Catholic Church, where he was an usher for many years. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.
Bud is survived by his loving children, Rick (Sandy) Meier, Raeann Buchinger, Kim DeWitt, and Kenny (Peggy) Meier; beloved grandchildren, Melissa (Brendan) Greene, Sara Rae (Corey) Brown, Mallory (Richard) Thompson, and Adam (Abbey Smith) Moses; great grandchildren, Keegan and Audrey Greene, Cooper Brown, and Benjamin Thompson; sister, Dolores (Tom) McInerney; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cathy and Bill Loiacano, Pat Flynn, and Diane Weiland; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Meier; his parents; his in-laws, Raymond and Evelyn Weiland; brother, Robert Meier; brother-in-law, Jerry Weiland; sister-in-law, Connie Flynn; and son-in-law, Paul Buchinger.
Per the wishes of Bud's late wife, Carol, cremation has taken place. Memorial Visitation will take place Monday, November 29, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Paul II Parish, site of St. Josaphat Catholic Church, 469 Shattuck Road, Saginaw, MI 48604. Committal will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens following Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

Bud was always the life of the party and the center of attention.
