Margaret Freeman

Margaret Mary Freeman, age 78, of Alger, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021. The daughter of Fred and Catherine (Khule) Holstine, Margaret was born June 12, 1943, in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. She married Donald Freeman on April 24, 1962. They shared 53 years together until his death on April 28,2015.

Margaret enjoyed working as a medical secretary for numerous years. She also always had a smile on her face for family (especially for her grandchildren and great grandchildern) and friends.

Margaret is survived by her children, Alfred (Tammy) Freeman, JoAnne (Jeff) Hoffmann, Ruth (Tom) Guzek, and Donna (David) Farnsworth; grandchildren, Donald (Katie) Freeman, Alec Freeman, LeAnne (Dave) Exelby, Tiffini (Brett) Hultgren, Tom Guzek II, Zachary (Melissa) Guzek, Victoria (Andrew) Soule, Nathan (Jani) Farnsworth, and Ross Farnsworth; great grandchildren, Anna Freeman, Seth Exelby, Evan Exelby, Vada Exelby, Owen Soule, Miles Soule, Micheala Farnsworth, and Tatum Farnsworth; brothers, Anthony (Bonnie) Holstine, James (Debra) Holstine, Gerald (Dana) Holstine, Dennis Gilbert, and Robert Gilbert; sisters, Catherine (Ron) Keeley and Christy Cordova; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Freeman; her parents, Catherine and Fred Holstine; step-mother, Jeanie Holstine; brother, Fred Holstine; and her brother-in-law, Pete Cordova.

Honoring Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service in the spring. To allow family and friends safe traveling.
