Obituary
Richard “Dick” Edmon Knotts, Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at the age of 90.
Richard was born in New Castle, Indiana on May 17, 1931, to the late Howard and Wanda (Vogt) Knotts. He graduated from Michigan Lutheran Seminary in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, serving with the 2nd Armoured Division in Europe. He married Joan Mohr in 1957, mother of his children. She preceded him in death in 1991. He married Gay Reif in 1995. She survives him. Richard retired from Saginaw Steering Gear in 1986.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Gay Knotts (Russ); his children, Kimberly (Kevin) Earl, Rick (Pam) Knotts, Steven (Sally) Reif, Gary (Patty) Reif, Karen Reif; grandchildren, Kelly Elliott, Kyle Elliott, Reid (Georgia) Knotts, Ryan (Tiffany) Knotts, Jared Reif, Lindsay Anderson, Mark (Corby) Reif, Allen Reif, David (Kristen) Reif, Jessica (Nick) Byron, and Jamie Lemmer; 14 great grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Knotts, in 1991.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Pastor Paul Biber will officiate. Interment will take place in Spring of 2022 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saginaw.

Dick was a wonderful grandfather to my daughters, Jessica & Jaime. He was a great father to me as well! My Grandson Liam Lemmer just loved to sit on his lap and talk. He prayed every night for him and Grandma. Dick/Grandpa will be greatly missed but find peace knowing he is with our Lord now.
