Obituary
Roger Robert Hinkley, age 67, of Turner, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at McLaren Hospital in Bay City.
He was born on June 5, 1954, to Robert and Alvera Hinkley in West Branch, Michigan.
Roger was very involved with his children's sporting events, helping as a coach when they were younger. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, and 4-wheeling and taking ATV rides earlier in his life. Trips to Grand Marais, Michigan were also very special to Roger. He was a residential carpenter throughout his life and was very handy. The most important thing in life to Roger was time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by many.
Roger is survived by his children, Roger (Heather) Hinkley II, Stephanie (Jason Jones) Hinkley, and Heather (Dakota Harrington) Hinkley; grandchildren, William Hinkley, McKenzie Bell, Maddie Jones, JJ Jones, and Maci Jones; his mother, Alvera Hinkley; siblings, John (the late Vicki) Hinkley, Bonnie (Leonard) Svanberg, and Mike (Lisa) Hinkley, aunt, Mary Giori; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hinkley; and his stepchildren, Alexis Muckenthaler and Jason Pace.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in early summer of 2022.
