Melissa Catherine Amber Davila, age 36, most recently of Reese, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw.
She was born on September 25, 1986, in Polk County, Florida.
Melissa is survived by her adored son, Dylan “DJ” Hendley; siblings, Kayla, Shane, and Danielle Davila; nieces, Layna Taylor and Leylani Gaines; mother, Penni Davila; grandparents, Ken Pretzer, Granny Helen, Tom and Jacquie Wirtz; uncles and aunts, Ken Pretzer, Pam (Steve) Stolarz, Jeff (Jane) Pretzer, Pastor Tom (Elizabeth) Wirtz, and April (Dana) Haynes; cousins, Taelor, Josh, Caleb (Alyssa), Jon (Emily), and Jack (Jacey) Pretzer, Kyle (Heather) and Nick Wirtz, Rebecca Harris, and Sarah Haynes; special friends, Dan Cobb, Desiree Morray, and Rachel and Mike Natzel. Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Brian Amburgey.
Memorial Service for Melissa will take place on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Freeland Assembly of God, 284 East Washington Road, Freeland, MI 48623.

This was my mom. When I was born she left with a plan to come back and never did. I still was in contact with her, VIA phone and text messaging. I am 14 (13 when she passed) and just miss her at the moment. She lived in Michigan and had plans to move back down to Florida at 6/8/22 she died 1 day before mothers day and 2 days before she was to live in Florida with me. Sometimes god isn't fair but I know better than to blame it on him. I miss you mom. If anyone wants stories or more detail I am happy to help. Stay Blessed -Dylan, Melissa's only son.
