Obituary
Timothy Guy Sullivan, 79, of Saginaw, MI passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022, after a long struggle with the aftermath of a brain aneurysm.
Tim was born on July 1, 1942, in Bay City, MI to the late John Sullivan and Doris (Hawkins) Sullivan. He graduated from Bay City St. James High School with the class of 1960 and later graduated from Central Michigan University.
A natural salesman, Tim retired from Whirlpool Corporation in 1992 after 13 years. In addition to his day job, he also became involved in real estate, owning multiple rental properties in the Saginaw area. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw for 25 years and enjoyed Bible studies. He loved hunting and fishing with his son and cousin, Dick Hawkins, traveling with his wife and the sound of slot machines in any casino. He volunteered at The Rescue Mission, Old Town Christian Outreach and Stone School. He had a big heart and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Sue (Fortney); three children, Kelly (Terry) Monville, Heather Sullivan, and Mike (Carrie) Sullivan; two stepchildren, Steve (Lynn) Wurdock and Jennifer (Sandy) Goldman; seven grandchildren, Jack, Hannah and Isabella Monville, Tyler and Lily Placher, and Nathan and Lauren Goldman; and three special nieces, Debbie Hall, Shelley Lewis and Trudy Stanley. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Kathy Barstad; favorite cousin, Dick Hawkins; and his beloved grandfather, Truman Hawkins, who helped to raise him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602.
Visitation will continue on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602, where his family will be present to welcome loved ones. Pastor Erik Schmidt will officiate.
