Obituary

Dona Lynn Kilbourn (Bow), 67, of Saginaw, Michigan died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 4 of an undiagnosed medical condition. Daughter of the late Nancy S. Bow, of Saginaw, MI and the late Donald H. Bow, of Barrington, IL, Dona was born on February 3, 1955, in Saginaw, MI.

Dona graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1973. She was a Registered Nurse and she focused her career on helping others. Dona was an avid sports fan; she could discuss game with the best of them, and she was looking forward to football season. She loved animals and passed that love on to others. She doted on her golden retriever rescue dog, Stella and often reminisced about her deceased cat, Maggie May. Dona loved spending time with her three best friends, Pam Kuk, Tara Nunamaker, and Connie Weideman. The four of them enjoyed going out for meals together and Dona's love of Mocha Madness smoothies was well known. Dona loved her family and always had a silly sense of humor.

Dona is survived by her daughter, Danielle (Paul) DeSousa, her grandson, Jeremiah, her step-mother, Judy Bow, and her sisters Sandra (Barry) Brunskill, Kimberly (Kermitt) Hawkins, and Susan (Christopher) Hutchinson. Dona had several nieces and nephews; Leesa (David) Davis, Jessica Markey, Dustin Markey, Nicolas Sells, and Brady Sells. She also had several step-nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews. Dona was preceded in death by her brother, Curtis Bow, and brother-in-law, James Markey.

To honor her wishes, Dona will be cremated and the family will not be having a memorial service. If you wish to express your sympathy, you may make a donation to your local humane society or to the Golden Retriever Rescue of Michigan in Dona's name.
