Lynne Ann Branch

Lynne Ann Branch

March 03, 1935 - August 11, 2022

Obituary

For those lucky enough to have enjoyed Lynne Ann Branch's macaroni and cheese or baked beans, you know the woman could cook. What she couldn't do was moderate the amount of food she made, which meant there was always an abundance.

The angels in heaven, including her husband, Bob, son Greg, and countless friends and relatives are rejoicing to once more relish Lynne Ann's outstanding cooking as she joined their ranks on Thursday, August 11, 2022, following a brief illness.

Lynne Ann Fogelsong was born in Saginaw on March 3, 1935, to Lyndon B. and Dorothy (Dodge) Fogelsong. She married Robert Branch on July 9, 1955, and together they raised Greg, Karen and Scott.

After graduating from Saginaw High, Lynne Ann went to work at Michigan Bell – simply the telephone company to Lynne Ann, through all its name changes – retiring in 1988. By all appearances, she loved her job as she took her work home with her, talking on the phone for hours.

Lynne Ann was a first-rate hostess and always made room at her table. She could always be counted on to cook food for a crowd, help with a fundraiser or plan a class reunion. With Bob, Lynne Ann was active in the VFW, serving as president of the Ladies Auxiliary for over 30 years. She was also a proud member of the Moose, Eagles, American Legion and Sand Lake Yacht Club. Lynne Ann loved spending time at the family cottage at Sand Lake, attending performances, gambling at the casinos and going to her grandchildren's sporting events and recitals.

Left to cherish Lynne Ann are daughter Karen (John) Kujawa, son Scott (Julie) Branch and daughter-in-law Ann Branch; grandchildren Dakota Cymbal, Cassidy Kujawa, Tyler (Jessica) Branch, Tristan Branch, and Grace, Samuel and Benjamin Branch, all of Saginaw. She is also survived by her sister Georgia (Jake) Kessler and several nieces and nephews, and loyal friends Joanne Phillips and Abigail.

In addition to her husband and son, Lynne Ann was predeceased by two sisters and their husbands, Wanda and Carl Turner and Joan and Duane Wachowiak, and her sister- and brother-in-law Jean and Don Thomas.

Visitation will take place on Monday, August 15, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Services, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Fr. Duane Wachowiak and David Wachowiak will officiate.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider gifts to Brian's House Community Group, Post Office Box 1201, Bay City, MI 48706.
