David Schmidt

David Leslie Schmidt, 69 of Albright Shores was born in Flint, MI on March 31, 1953 to the late Alvin and Merilyn (Brown) Schmidt. He passed away with his family by his side on October, 26 2022 at U of M Cardiovascular ICU. Dave was the pillar of our family, he was the most loving, supportive, caring, and selfless husband, dad, grandpa, friend and so much more. Dave retired from the Dow Chemical Company with over 30 years. He married the former Bernice Hall on March 27, 1976, and raised 6 amazing children.
Dave enjoyed fishing, family time, winter trips to Florida, and spending time near a fire with a good friend named Jack. He loved his family and he left a mark on everyone he met.
Dave is survived by his wife Berniece Schmidt, children Ray Spiker (Betty), Cindy Spiker, Missy Spiker, Don Spiker (Jodi), Christine Prosser (Uriah), David Schmidt Jr. (Gretchen), 19 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughters, Violet Georgine Schmidt and Amber Lynn Skutt. A celebration of Dave's life will be held on Sunday, November 13th from 12-5pm at the Eagles Club in Albright Shores.
