Obituary
Barbara Janice Jones, age 88, of Saginaw, passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, October 14, 2025. She was born on January 1, 1937, to Arthur and Lois (Harding) Spinner, in Bay City, Michigan.
Barb married Bernard “Berney” Jones on July 2, 1955, and together they shared 70 wonderful years of marriage. Barb was a faithful, longtime member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Saginaw. She loved playing bridge, traveling, and staying active at church. Most of all, Barb treasured her family and their time spent together.
Barb is survived by her beloved husband, Bernard “Berney” Jones; daughter, Leslie Arnold (fiancé Dr. Bob Reindel); grandchildren, William Vlassis, III, and Alexandra (Josh) Dowell; great granddaughter, Iris Dowell; sisters, Joyce Holsinger and Judy Monto; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Jones; son-in-law, Ferris Arnold; three sisters; one brother; several brothers-in-law, and her parents.
Visitation will take place on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., at St. John's Episcopal Church, 123 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Rev. Ann Grady will officiate. Private burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw. A luncheon will follow the service at the Trillium Banquet Center.
Memorials in honor of Barbara may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, care of the church, or per Barb's wishes to honor her son, Tim, to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, www.afsp.org.

Berney, thoughts and prayers with you, Barb, and family. I always enjoyed seeing her and talking to her on the phone while looking for you. She was a very dedicated member of St. John’s. Take care.
