Obituary
Richard “Dick” Lee Baker, age 80, of Saginaw, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, with family by his side. The son of William and Frieda (Eurich) Baker, Dick was born July 17, 1942, in Saginaw, Michigan. He married the love of his life, Kathleen Kenny, on October 27, 1962, and together they shared 60 years of marriage.
Dick worked at Wilson Machine. In his free time, he loved volunteering with the East Side Soup Kitchen, bowling with the “Tuesday Stars” league, and camping. He was also a longtime parishioner at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Dick loved ALL sports and was known to be a great bargain shopper.
Dick is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Baker; their children, Richard “Rich” (Patty) Baker and Trisha (Mark Sanderson) Baker; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-children; his dog, Sammy; dear friend and cousin, Jim Fahrenbruch. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Ken Baker and Carol Horning.
Visitation will take place January 5, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until time of Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m., at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, MI 48602. Visitation will continue January 6, 2023, at St. Stephen Catholic Church Site of St. Dominic Catholic Parish, 1310 Malzahn Street, Saginaw, MI 48602, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate. Burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Saginaw.
