Obituary
Violet “Vi” Archambault, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away January 18, 2023 in Williamsburg, VA at the age of 89.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elise and Rob Fitzmaurice of Yorktown, VA; brothers, Corkey Grimes, Tim (Debbie) Grimes; sister, Tami (J.D.) Sanders; also, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, 3 adopted great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren as well as her beloved dog, Raleigh.
Vi was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Carl Archambault; 2 sons, Ronald and Donald; mother and stepfather, Adeline and Frank Embury; father, Homer Grimes; brother, Paul Heisler and many other family and friends.
Vi loved children and graduated from Delta Collage in 1988 with a degree in early child development and was the director at First Christian Church West Child Development center and pre-school teacher at Great Beginnings Christian Child Care Center. In later years she enjoyed playing games with friends, doing crafts, and especially beating everyone at Wii bowling where she got many 300 games, something she never dreamed of doing while bowling in younger years with her friend on the Mop Squeezers bowling team at Stardust lanes.
In the years here in Virginia, we need to thank the people who became family to us at the Newport News Fresenius Dialysis Clinic.
In place of flowers, please consider a donation to the Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg where she lived out her last days in comfort and love provided by some truly exceptional people. You might also consider a battered women's shelter, or a children's fund This is at Vi's own request, she said why let flowers die along with her, so please pledge your gift to benefit the living.
A memorial visitation will be held at Fischer Family Funeral Services, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Friday, June 30, 2023 from 10:00a.m., until 12:00noon, with a service at 11:00a.m. Following the service we will proceed to St Andrew Catholic Cemetery for a burial. A luncheon will follow at Trillium Banquet Center. Please no dark suits or black dresses in attendance, only bright cheerful colors. Be happy she has met her Lord and celebrate a life well lived. FYI – she was married in pink and would be happy to see that color represented.

My thoughts and prayers go out for VI’s family! She was a very loving and light here at Woodlands. She will be greatly missed ! She never had a negative thing to say about peers-always finding something positive to share! We will continue to plant “Pansies” in our little prayer garden in her memories. Thank you for being a good friend and I will miss seeing and talking with her in our little prayer group on Saturday’s with Father Jim. Her love of Our Blessed Lady and the Sacred Heart I’m sure earned her a speedy pass to her heavenly reward. May you find Eternal Rest in the Arms of them all! Please keep us in your prayers to the Almighty until we meet again! Love Sharon (225).

May God comfort All .. Mrs Vi was such a sweet person who will be missed.. I had the privilege of shampooing her hair on a weekly bases.. It was such a pleasure to see and service her with her sweet spirit .. I’m grateful for our sharing the goodness of The Lord.. Love ..
