Elizabeth Priem

Elizabeth ”Betty” Priem, age 90, of Saginaw, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Edgewood Assisted Living. The daughter of Helen (DaLee) and John Schroyer, Elizabeth was born February 24, 1932, in Washington, Pennsylvania. She married Charles Priem on March 17, 1956, and together they shared 63 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2020.

Betty made a happy home and life for her family, always supporting and getting involved with her children's activities. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family at the cottage, where she was involved in the community and volunteered with several committees. She was a lifelong member of West Michigan United Methodist Church.

Betty is survived by her children, Chuck (Joyce) Priem and Nancy (Greg) Greif; grandchildren, Kelley (Jim) Goodrow, Aimee Priem, Emma Priem, Lisa Greif, and Jennifer (Adam) Gembrowski; great grandchildren, Elyse Goodrow, Briella Goodrow, Leighton Goodrow, and Evelyn Gembrowski; sisters-in-law, Susan Duncan and Patricia (Joseph) Bronz; two nephews, Matthew Bronz and James Shields; and her dear friends of nearly 60 years, Gail Newvine and Helen Downey. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will take place Friday, February 17, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw.

Betty's family wishes to thank Edgewood Assisted Living and The Care Team Hospice for their kindness and caring throughout her time there.
