Obituary
Charles “Big C” or “Chuck” David McNeil, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 17, 2023, at home in Roscommon, Michigan.
The youngest of seven children, Chuck was born on October 11, 1955, to Bernard and Lillian (Dey) McNeil in Saginaw, Michigan.
Chuck retired from GM where he worked for 30 years. He was a true outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, and boating. Chuck loved to feed and watch the birds in his yard. He enjoyed spending time up at Higgins Lake and was fortunate enough to eventually live there full time. Chuck had a very close group of friends, who all had great nicknames, including his dear friend Steve “HOZE” Bourdow. Chuck loved to reminisce about the good old times and growing up. His family and friends will miss him dearly and will forever share his many stories.
Chuck is survived by his loving children, Charles “Charlie” (Shannon) McNeil, Jr., and Jennifer (Brad) Doran; grandchildren, Lillian McNeil, Danielle Harris, and Charles McNeil III; great grandson, Floyd Albert; sister, Sue (Gene) Kodrik; many nieces, nephews, including Thomas (Shelley) McNeil, Jr., and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sibings, Jack McNeil, Thomas McNeil, William McNeil, Bernard McNeil, and Robert McNeil.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Steven George will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.

My late husband Tim and I had many fond memories with Chuck and the family at Sage Lake. He was a nice man and we will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time. -- Sue Thomas Dey.

Chuck was a good friend and neighbor up here at Higgins Lake. My best memories include my dog Bailey and his much-loved Pearl and all the fun they had together.
I'm glad he is playing with Pearl again at the Rainbow rainbow Bridge.
I'm going to miss you, Chuck. God Bless and Rest In Peace.

I will never forget when I went to camp for school and my classmates and I were snowed in and the only kids that could go was if they had some with a snow Mobile I was lucky that you did an you pick me up and we tip over at least 3 with all my stuff but you got me home. I will miss you a lot and I love you so much I hope that you get to see my mom and have a good time with her.
