Obituary
Lazaro “Larry” “Tito” Barrera Salinas, age 73, of Saginaw, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023. The son of Uvaldo (Aurelia) Salinas, Lazaro was born on October 23, 1949, in Littlefield, Texas.
Larry retired from the City of Saginaw as a Foreman. He was a devoted NASCAR fan and enjoyed camping, trips to the casino, watching wresting and old western TV shows. He was also known as a fitness buff, working out at the Old Town Gym, running several marathons, and practicing Karate moves.
Larry is survived by his loving children, Aurelia (Guillermo “Bill” Zamora) Salinas, Fabian (Rosanna) Salinas, and Rodney (Tongchai Bounyanoi) Salinas; Zane Salinas, Lazaro Salinas, Christina Salinas, Nicholas Salinas, Antonio Salinas, Sabrina Llamas, Demetria Morales, Rebecca (Chris Vaughn) Morales; several grandchildren; many great grandchildren; siblings, Maggie Espinoza, Rosa Ybarra, Enrique Salinas and Eleazar Salinas; and his former spouse, Alejandra “Cathy” Salinas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Salinas; siblings, Yolanda Luna, Josefina Villarreal, Jesus Salinas, Martin Salinas, Servando Salinas and Flor de Maria Rangel.
Visitation will take place Friday, March 10, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Chaplain Bill Rodriguez will officiate. Interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw.
