Obituary
Alan George Young, age 80, of Saginaw, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw.
He was born on April 5, 1942, to Edwin and Gladys Young in Saginaw, Michigan.
Alan married Judith Braim on May 18, 1963, and they spent 60 years together. He worked for General Motors as a metallurgist, eventually retiring after 35 years of service. Alan loved to coach his children's sports when they were younger. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Alan is survived by his beloved wife, Judith “Judy” Young; children, Alan (Linda) Young and Brian (Andrea) Young; grandchildren, Zack Young, Luke Young, Brooke Young, Emma Young, and Kyle Young; siblings, David (Sharon) Young, Jerry (Pam) Young, Dr. Mark (Barb) Young, Mary Ellen (George) Wartenberg; sister-in-law, Janet Young; nieces, nephews, several cousins, and last but not least, his dear friend, Richard (Carole) Mellott.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Young and Jackie Young, and their parents.
Cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time.
