Obituary
Gary E. Longworth, age 65, of Prescott, Michigan passed away on July 25, 2023. He was born on February 8, 1958 in Sandusky, Ohio to Tip Longworth and Donna Hurst.
Gary was raised in Southwest Detroit by his mother Donna and step father Ernest. He worked for over 20 years as a Kiln Operator at the Detroit Lime Company where he retired.
He loved spending quality time outdoors with his children and grandchildren. Together they enjoyed hunting, riding on four wheelers, going on trail walks and sitting around the campfire. He would often watch the deer roam his yard while drinking a warm cup of coffee. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends and family.
The presence of others and their company filled his heart with joy. He was very caring, generous, strong willed and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Donna Brooks, and his siblings Ernest Jr., Pamela and Donny.
He was a loving father to Eugene (Brianne), Sarah, Zenia (Mark), Jessica (Jarod), Robert and Kevin (Ashley).
A proud papa to Ryan, Makayla, Braxton, Jordan, Jesse, Evan, Jayden, Isabella, Aviana, Dylan, Lincoln, Mathew, Jeremy, Graclynn, Kingsten, Serenity, Gunner Carsen and many others who considered him Papa.
A dear brother to Regina and Todd.
A caring uncle/tio to many nieces and nephews.
He will be truly missed and always remembered with much love by his children, grandchildren, family and friends.
A memorial will be announced by the family at a later date
