Scott Bell

Scott Bell was born September 3, 1964, and passed away August 16, 2023, at Saginaw St. Mary's Hospital. Just hours before his passing, he was surely delighted by the visit he received from his son Wade Bell, Wade's girlfriend Ashlyn French, and his one and only grandchild, Liam Bell. They said that he was in good spirits and joking with the nurses all the while they were there.

Scott was predeceased by his father, Ashley Bell and both sets of grandparents.
Scott leaves behind his mother, Sally Ranger Bell, his sons, Stephen Barens and Wade Bell, and his grandson, Liam Bell. He is also survived by his siblings, Sheila Bell Richards, Laurie Bell Rice, and Bonnie Bell Parendo. He also has 10 nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews, numerous other relatives and many, many good friends.

Scott followed his sisters to Texas in the mid-80s. He ended up in Houston with his sister Laurie, where he learned the trade of commercial construction. He continued that trade when he returned to Michigan. In addition, he honed his talent for making beautiful cabinetry. Eventually he worked full-time on the AuSable River Queen as the snack bar operator. And if you happened to fill in for him, you had better not move a single thing from its spot!

Scott enjoyed the simple things in life. He did not have a need for an overabundance of money. As long as he could get his bills paid and have his beer and his lottery scratch-off tickets, he was good to go and always smiling. Scott also loved to bake, especially banana bread, and take it to the girls at the County Fair Store. Needless to say, they adored him.

Scott was very kind-hearted and everyone he met became a friend.
