Obituary
Charles Douglas “Doug” Perry, age 74, of Greenbush, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023. The son of Eric and Joan (Plumb) Perry, Doug was born on February 11, 1949 in Flint, Michigan.
Doug grew up in Swartz Creek and graduated from Swartz Creek High School. He went on to obtain his bachelor's degree in computer science from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Doug worked for the State of Michigan Police Department in Information Technology. He loved to run and was very close to his cousins.
Doug is survived by his second cousins, Tim Bryant, Renee (Brian) Drabik, Jenny (James) Cline, Judy (Kenny) Howell, Erik (Lauren Ryley) Davidek, Erin Davidek, and their 13 children. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his cousins, Suzi Davidek and Karen Farrington.
A private interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

It took a year to learn that my college roommate of 7 semesters had made his final move. He came all the way from Michigan in 1977 to be the best man at my wedding and drove down to Dayton, Ohio so he and my son could make fun of me while we toured the U.S. Air Force national museum. But it was great fun. He was an awesome human being. I visited him once in Bradenton, FL before his beloved dog died. And we stayed in touch randomly by texting and phone calls. I will miss him. I was sad to note in his obit that he had already lost his two 'girl cousins', as he called them. He was very fond of both of them. I enjoyed Doug's remarkable intelligence and his dry sense of humor. So long, my friend.
