Bobby Ray Stanford, age 79, of Saginaw, Michigan, formerly of Tupelo, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023. The son of Robert and Cora (Bishop) Stanford, Bobby was born April 19, 1944, in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Bobby worked as an automotive machinist, and he built many engines in that time. He was also a firefighter for many years, faithfully serving his community. Bobby loved racing cars, building engines, karaoke, and music, which was very important to him.
Bobby is survived by his special partner of many years, Susan Evans; step-son, Chad Evans and his daughter, Maiya Evans, who was a special granddaughter to Bobby; his children, Bobby Ray, Jr. (Nancy) Stanford, Melissa Stanford, Danny (Renee) Stanford, Jerry Stanford, and Jennifer Stanford Baswell; grandchildren, Christal (Chris) Gowdy, Kyle (Madeline) Stanford, Lee Stanford, Jaden Stanford, Dwayne (Krystal) Floyd, Wesley Floyd, Misty Floyd, Daniel Stanford, Abigail Stanford, and Brent (Faith) Martin; many great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Cora Stanford.
Honoring Bobby's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service is planned for a future time.
