Obituary
Jill Ann Porter, age 62, of Saginaw, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023, in Saginaw. The daughter of Lovell and Joyce (Collis) Kain, Jill was born April 19, 1961, in Saginaw, Michigan.
In her early life, Jill worked as an electrician alongside her father, Lovell. In the years that followed, she pursued many careers all of which involved caring for people. Jill was a loving and caring person when it came to those around her, strangers or family. That loving and caring personality extended to animals, especially cats. From an early age, Jill was an animal lover, with cats holding a special place in her heart. No cat would go unnoticed by her. Jill had artistic talent and spent her days implementing this talent. Jill touched the lives of those around her and will be missed by all who knew her.
Jill is survived by her loving children, Andrea Butler and Nathaniel “Nathan” Butler (fiancée, Moya Hasek); former spouse, Bill Porter; brother, Robert (Sue) Kain; several nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Service will take place Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 12:00 p.m., at Cornerstone Christian Center, 6674 Junction Road, Bridgeport, MI 48722.
