Obituary
Leisa Renae Hulien, age 58, of St. Charles, passed away with family by her side after a brief battle with cancer on Thursday, December 14, 2023. The daughter of Carl and Karen (Mendyk) Adelberg, Leisa was born January 27, 1965.
Leisa cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren. She loved holidays, especially Christmas and the Fourth of July. She had a close circle of friends throughout her life with whom she shared many good times and memories. Leisa will be missed by her beloved family and friends.
Leisa is survived by her children, Zachary Hulien, Brent Hulien, Courtney Kitson, Heather (Meredith) Hulien, and Derrick (Amanda) Hulien; grandchildren, Wesley Cubitt and Gracie-Lynn Cubitt; father, Carl Adelberg; siblings, David (Rosmie) Adelberg and Connie Root; nephew and niece, Quinton (Kayla) Root and Miranda (Brandon) Bowie. She was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Adelberg.
Memorial Visitation will take place Monday, December 18, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at Birch Run Bible Baptist Church, 6205 Birch Run Road, Birch Run, MI 48415.
Memorials in honor of Leisa may be made to her family to be distributed at their discretion.

My favorite memory will always be the time it was just me, Heather and Mom riding around the back roads in the van as the sun was about to set in the summer. Music was up, windows were down and we all sang "Truly, Madly, Deeply" by Savage Garden. We were happy, we were carefree.
The circumstances were different, but I'm so glad the three of us got to sing that song together again before you left us, just the same we did all those years ago - happy and carefree, and with smiles on our faces, even if for a brief moment.
