Obituary
Rita Ann Hare, age 84, of Saginaw, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, in Saginaw. The daughter of John and Gertrude (Szepanski) Krzciok, Rita was born May 20, 1939, in St. Charles, Michigan. She married Donald L. Hare on July 19, 1958, and together they shared 65 years of marriage.
Rita loved nature and the outdoors, especially the beauty of flowers and birds. She enjoyed the arts, poetry, and painting. In her down time, Rita liked to watch Court TV, a subject that fascinated her. Rita was kind, selfless, and family oriented. The time she treasured most was that spent with family. She loved having her children and family home, entertaining and simply enjoying time with one another.
Rita is survived by her beloved husband, Donald L. Hare; loving children, Jennifer Howell, Pam (Scott) Minnich, Chris (Debra) Hare, Peggy (Doug Stewart) Hudson; adored grandchildren, Joe (Jaylyn) Karas, Lexie Karas, John Minnich, Hailey Minnich, Jacob Hare, Nicholas Hare, and Jared Hudson; great grandchild, Harper Karas; brother, John (Marge) Krzciok; sisters-in-law, Donna Krzciok and Carol Krzciok; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Evelyn McKeage, Jim Krzciok, Lorraine Even, Arlene Zwingman, and Dave Krzciok; son-in-law, Russell Howell; and her parents.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 12:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Tori Little will officiate. Interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw.
