Obituary
Janet Louise Schwinck, age 77, of Bay City, Michigan passed away with family by her side on Friday, February 16, 2024, in Standish, MI. She was born on October 15, 1946, to Stanley and Stella (Natoniewski) Durek in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Lawrence “Larry” Schwinck on February 12, 1977, and together they shared 46 years of marriage. He preceded her in death in January of 2024.
Janet had the talent of making beautiful cards, which she sold and sent to many family members and friends. Janet loved dining out and was always ready to try a new restaurant. She most cherished time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her loving children, Sarah (Paul Gomez) Schwinck and Matthew (Austin Richardson) Schwinck; grandchildren, Sage Schwinck, Myles Schwinck, and Sloane Gomez; sisters, Pat Libera, Virginia LaBelle, Victoria Lewis, and Kathleen Hasse; brother, Robert Durek; sister-in-law, Nancy Redmond; nieces, nephews, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Schwinck; her daughter, Laurie Mattlin; and her parents.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan in the Spring of 2024.
