Dusty Diane Murray, age 52, of Prescott, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 22, 2024. The daughter of James and Jean (Riedel) Smith, Dusty was born July 5, 1971, in Cadillac, Michigan.
Dusty was a loving mother and worked as a dental assistant throughout her life. She had a love for dogs, particularly her two service dogs, Marty Sue and Junie B. If there was an opportunity to get outside, Dusty was there. She also enjoyed two tracking, flower and vegetable gardening, and had a pet interest in aviation.
Dusty is survived by her daughter, Harley (fiancé, Alexander Bittner) Murray; her parents, Jim (Tamia) Smith and Jean (Kurt) Vandervlugt; her sisters, Dawn Smith (partner, Calvin Larsen), Sandy (Troy) Nietling, and Jennifer (Alex) Colbert; niece and nephew, Nova and Branch Nietling. She was preceded in death by her former husband and Harley's father, Kent Murray.
Honoring Dusty's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.

Dusty was a beautiful soul. We didn’t get to spend enough time together. She was looking forward to helping Donna & I in the vegetable garden that we do every year here at Hidden Creek Manor Apartments. Sharing laughter, tears & comforting each other. She will be greatly missed.

Dusty, Viki n I shared so much in the time we had together. We laughed ,We cried, We worked together to solve anything that was personal. We cared for each other like we were family. Dusty would come over and fall on my bed with her shoes on. I picked on her for that n did the same to her once. Her shoes were left at the door and I got plowed by her, Junie n Marty. We laughed so much! My heart feels her absents and brings me to my knees, to thank our Lord for the time we shared..
