Obituary
Edward “Ed” Alexander Reinhardt, beloved husband of Kathleen Reinhardt, of Saginaw, passed away at the age of 78 on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, in Detroit, Michigan. The son of Richard and Barbara (Bartlet) Reinhardt, Ed was born on June 11, 1945. He married Kathleen Grunow on November 23, 1963, and together they shared 60 years of marriage.
Ed was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was happiest when enjoying good music and a cold beer.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Reinhardt; nephews and nieces, Josh (Sara) Grunow, Dawn Haefele, Scott Grunow, Patrick Grunow, and Lisa Zahrt; great nieces and nephews who were like our grandchildren, Gabriel Grunow, Tyler Luptowski, Garett Luptowski, Aden Grunow, Jackson Grunow, Lilliana Grunow; many great nieces, nephews, friends, and last but certainly not least, his dear dog, Katie. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Richard Reinhardt and Barbara Michalski.
Visitation will take place Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Scott Grunow will officiate. Private burial will take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
Memorials in honor of Ed may be made to Amazing Grace Animal Rescue, 3365 Freeland Road, Saginaw, MI 48604.

I was really looking forward to visiting with Ed again when we get moved back to Michigan so we could share some stories and reminisce about our trip to Louisiana in 2010. He was such a good guy and I will surely miss him.
