Rudolfo Hernandez

Rudolfo “Rudy” Hernandez, our beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the age of 74 in Saginaw, Michigan. Rudy was born on June 23, 1949, in Seguin, Texas to Antonio and Margarita (Young) Hernandez. He earned his associate degree as a Master Mechanic, working many years at Sears and Covenant, where he retired from. He loved going fishing, camping, kayaking, and estate sales.

Rudy will be missed dearly by his children, Monica (James) Elliott, Magé (Joseph) Coffey, Maria Hernandez, Eleanor (Luis Zamudio III) Margarita Vasquez, Peggy Lewis, Angela (William) Alexander, Rudolfo (Shawn) Moreno, Rogelio (Amee) Moreno, Amanda Clapper, Lynn Hernandez; grandchildren, Myasiah and Arieana Hernandez, James Elliott, Alexandria and Joseph Coffey, Ariah and William Hernandez, Sherri Zamudio, Whitlee (Matthew) Nakovich, Breanna and Javier Hernandez, Tori Wilson, Eric, Santino, and Sergio Vasquez, Izayah, Damian, Raymond, Alena, Justine, Alexis, Rogelio Jr., Joseph, and Reaghan Moreno, D.J. and Cynthia Pritchett; several great grandchildren; a sister, Alicia Villareal; many nieces and nephews. He is also leaving behind a special nephew, Antonio Hernandez III, who went on many great adventures with him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Penny Hernandez; son, Marcos Hernandez; brothers, Antonio II, and Fernando Hernandez; and his parents, Margarita and Antonio Hernandez.

Visitation will take place Monday, April 22, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Honoring Rudy's wishes, cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Rudy may be made to his family to assist with funeral expenses.
