Kenya Michelle Collins, age 50, of Saginaw, was taken from this life too soon and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 26, 2024. The daughter of Billy Smith and Brenda Collins, Kenya was born November 26, 1973, in Saginaw, Michigan.
Kenya is survived by her beloved children, Crystal Collins, Deontae Collins, and Santoria Jackson; adored grandchildren, Malaysia Reed, Carson Riggins, Demiya Collins, Deontae Collins, Jr., Kaidence Ezell, Ka'Loni Sheldon, Kai'Lor Swift, and D'Lasia Harrison; loving parents, Brenda (Clarence) Brown and Billy (Sherita) Smith; dear siblings, Brenda Brown, Sherry Brown, Clarence Brown, Jr., Tarence Brown, and Kariem Geralds; best friend, Shaun Foster; special friend, Yolanda Cooper ; several nieces and nephews, including, Tenaisia, Tavaiaon Brown; aunt, Nora Bland; goddaughters, Danarie Evans and Miyona Alexander; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Dontrell Collins, De'Asia Collins, and Zahmir Allen; her brothers, Billy Collins and Anthony Smith; grandmother and grandfather, Lula and Stacy Collins, and Thelma Smith; and great grandma Mary Patman.
Honoring Kenya's wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
